| Job Title: Principal Engineer/Tools Developer |
| Description |
| Identify applications that can support the exploitation of Data Bases. Assess what will be required to integrate a particular tool into the customer environment. Integrate tools into the customer environment. Uses the BPM application to create live implementations of processes. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and provides additional forms of knowledge transfer. Key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts. Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provides technical direction to programmers as required to ensure program deadlines are met. Specialized Qualifications: In depth development experience with Java, Java component development, JavaScript, PERL, XML, XSL and/or HTTP/HTML, IIS, iPlanet, Apache, WebLogic, Web service development in J2EE, SQL, experience with spiral or evolutionary development, CSS, JSP, web services. In-depth knowledge of one or more specific COTS products in use, such as WebLogic, PlumTree, WebMethods, RetrievalWare, TeamWorks, COGNOS. MANDATORY SKILLS: Must have Hardware Engineer skills: Identify, analyze, and document requirements from the field, investigate alternatives, and define system functions to satisfy the requirements, Perform technology insertion, investigating alternatives and evaluating COTS hardware in response to new requirements and as replacement for outdated hardware components, Investigate, assess and reveal bottlenecks in system performance, ensuring the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the system, Respond to trouble calls and inquiries from the field regarding installation, configuration, and technical issues with the hardware, Package the software into a portable image, Maintain proper documentation on the procedures necessary to configure the hardware components, Provide certification and training to TOPS officers, i2C officers, and STC students. TS/SCI with Fullscope polygraph required.
